Actors

An actor’s voice should be free, flexible, and practised. Tom’s process is practical, informed, and designed to release the actor and unlock the creative process. Voice work should not be separate and apart from your acting, it should feed directly into the acting process and further the narrative of the story you are telling.

Whether you are an actor who wants to develop your craft, work on the stamina and longevity of your voice, develop and hone your speaking of Shakespeare, or prepare for drama school auditions, Tom can help you to reach your potential and deepen your knowledge. Through his various teaching roles at conservatoires and drama schools including the Guildhall School of Music and Drama - where he has also served on the audition panel - and The Danish National School of Performing Arts, plus his many years experience as an actor himself, Tom can equip you with a repertoire of vocal exercises and techniques to empower you as an artist.

“Working with Tom has changed the way I think about acting. He pushes you to do your best work while also being incredibly caring and nuanced. He understands that each actor is different and he knows how to work with each individual specifically. I will never forget the things that Tom has taught me!”

Julia Randall, Actress

“ Tom has been teaching at The Danish National School of Performing Arts for the past many years. His knowledge of language, body and voice is invaluable to the school and our students - and that is why he is invited year after year.  He is an amazing teacher who makes the students understand the fine art - acting.”
